cGMP Flow Cytometry
Flow Cytometry is a multiparametric technique widely used to identify and count cells. Cells can be identified on the bases of their size and by using fluorescent monoclonal antibodies that bind to intra-cellular and surface antigens.
For advanced therapy medicinal products such as somatic cell therapies, cell identity is a fundamental parameter to be assessed in cGMP quality controls.
In Procelltech we have validated a Flow Cytometry technique: Immunophenotyping, which analyzes 7 parameters specific for Adult Mesenchymal Stem Cells.
Immunophenotyping by Flow Cytometry can be used for identity and functionality cell quality controls.
